Safety Precautions

The streets will be open to traffic at all times during the triathlon. Cheyenne Police Department, Sheriff's Office and Wyoming Highway patrol will provide traffic control at various intersections on the bike course. Although these officers will be controlling traffic, you must exercise caution at all times when on the bike course as you'll be sharing the road with traffic. Please pay attention to your surroundings especially when passing another bicyclist and when entering any intersections. Follow the law enforcement officers instructions. They will be stopping oncoming traffic, but there is always a driver who may not be paying attention or simple refuses to stop. You don't want to take on a 2000 pound car !!!!

There will also be volunteers all along the bike course. Please make sure to thank the officers and volunteers when you pass by. These folks are all volunteering their time to ensure a successful and SAFE event. There are no aid stations along the bicycle course. There will be 2 aid stations along the run course. A physician will be at that finish area and EMT's will be cruising the run course on mountain bikes.
